Anything.

If you could be anything, anything at all, what would you be?

(Seriously. If you're reading this, it takes like 3 seconds to comment. And I'm curious. So what would you be?)

I would be exactly who I am but much better. I'd be more patient, kinder, have more energy and be thinner.

Right now, I would be someone who didn't have to take two exams this week. Oh, and with perfect teeth.

These kinds of questions always stump me. I think it's because I feel pressured to come up with a snappy answer, like "I would be a Unicorn Tamer" or something. But, I usually end up with multiple, equally unsatisfying answers.

The thing is, the sorts of things that are REALLY worth being (someone who helps other people, someone who advocates peace, etc) you don't need a magic wand to do that.

Ok, got it. I would either be an anthropologist doing field study, or I'd be one of the X-men.

Anything? I can think of a lot of racy answers for that question! But, by anything are you saying job/life or entity? If the former, I'd be Marco Polo. The latter is tougher - assuming "God" is out of the question, then I'd have to go with a Dolphin. They aren't as smart as people, but they sure seem to have fun all the time.

Actually, I love my job as a professor. Beats selling shoes, which I used to do (or, for me, being a laywer).

Cheers,
